The Southern Monmouth County Fire Museum Association, led by Bill Newberry volunteered to clean up the Guard Station at the Marconi road entrance. While this entrance is normally closed it is used for various events that happen on the west side of the campus. Volunteers stripped the shack down to bare wood. They removed rotted pieces and replaced with new wood and painted the shack. The surrounding area was cleared back of brush and cleaned. It was a lovely warm fall day, perfect for this work and the results were amazing.
