    Saving Camp Evans, with all it's history, to create the InfoAge Science-History Center
took thousands of hours and lots of hard work by many volunteers.

   We did research to discover Camp Evans history.
    We have started a Communication history achive and a library.
    We fixed, painted, raked, repaired.
    We nominated the Camp Evans Historic District to the National Register of Historic Places to protect the unique site
    We wrote the appication to have the Camp Evans Historic District transfered to Wall Township to establish the InfoAge Science-History Center
    We applied and had Camp Evans made an offical project of Save America's Treasures and Preserve America.

  As our momentum has grown and more members have joined we have persons working at Camp Evans nearly every weekend and often
evening during the week.

August and September 2006 - InfoAge members and NJARC get the NBHF room and exhibits setup for the September 16, 2006 induction

July 2006 - InfoAge members finish telephone exchange building for a five week visit by Fort Monmouth ICON summer camps.

June 24 to July 8, 2006  - Students from the Landmark Volunteers spend two weeks working at Camp Evans
 
May 19, 2006 - !40 New Outlook Pioneers and volunteers from Lucent spend a Global Day of Caring at Infoage

May 12, 2006 - New Outlook Pioneers from Lucent Technologies return for another volunteer day - a  surprise - day 3!!

May 5, 2006  -  New Outlook Pioneers arrive in force and attack the telephone exchange building (9059) like a hurricane.  

 
April 29, 2006 - The advance party of the New Oultook Pioneers spend a Saturday preparing for the many volunteers to follow.

November 16, 2005 - New Jersey Natural Gas VISION program and Wall ROTC volunteers help paint the Marconi hotel dining room

June 2005 - Eric M. Pertgen of Wall Township earns of an Eagle Award for an exceptional contribution towards honoring WWII veterans.

April 2005 - before and beyond -
Mr. Bob Withim keeps the lawns at Project Diana/TIROS and Marconi cottages looking good.

 
March 2005 - Josh Foxton volunteers to rebuild the Project Diana/TIROS sentry post building to earn his Eagle award.

March 17, 2005 - Wall Key Club and New Jersey Natural Gas VISION program volunteers help paint the west hallway and exhibit rooms in the Marconi hotel.

May 2003 -  Monmouth County Master Gardeners Create a Landscape for the Camp Evans Cottages.

July 30, 2002
- Sheriff Oxley sends inmates to clean and restore historic New Jersey Site

October 27, 2001 Camp Evans is a work site for "Make a Difference Day" and what a difference our volunteers made at the Wireless Station Manager's Residence


July 2000  - InfoAge Volunteers from NJARC, QCWA, NJHDA, Franklin Township Boy Scouts and friends salvage materials from the New Brunswick Marconi Transmission Station in Franklin Township.
