* Estimated based Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) attendance planning recommendations, 10 annual visitors per square foot of exhibit space. The complete center will have 89,000+ sq. ft. of exhibit space, 17,000-sq. ft. classroom & support space, 7,000-sq. ft. administration, 5,000-book/gift store, and 10,000-sq. ft. flexible space.
ASTC attendance planning recommendations are based upon annual analysis and reviews of the 250+ members' science-centers actual attendance and budgets. ASTC has found the best predictor of attendance, which is directly tied to revenue, is square feet of exhibit space. Location, advertising, special exhibits, etc. are influences but they are not predictors of attendance.
