Architectural Feature: Windows and Doors in 9010 to 9011 Connecting hallway
 Date: 1942

The metal double doors in the passage between 9010 and 9011 show heavy corrosion (Photo No. 48).  Some sections of door panel sheet metal have rusted away allowing the elements in (Photo No. 40).   A number of the steel frame windows have broken panes, hinges and handles.  The connecting hallway shows signs of moisture damage due to elements and damaged radiators (Photo No. 49).  The windows have recently been boarded over with plywood secured by nail-guns.

Proposed work

Remove plywood and repair damage to masonry.  Repair window hinges and replace glass during Phase I.  Repair doors during Phase I.  If possible, locate replacement steel doors similar or identical to original.
