The interior wall treatments of Sections C and D of 9010 still appear much as they did during WWII. The plasterboard walls with one-inch joint strips and wooden doors with glass panes (Photo No. 43) were not replaced during later, minor 1982 modifications (Photo No. 44). Except for a modern drop ceiling, the only additions appear to be current style telephone connections and modern electric outlets (Photo No. 45). There is some wall damage and a number of broken interior door windows (Photo No. 46). Several radiators froze causing wide spread interior flooding (Photo No. 47). This flooding has deposited water system rust on the floors and caused many floor tiles to come loose.

Proposed work
During Phase II, remove two partition walls to create seven flexible
classroom size spaces and a large open area (see Drawing 9010 C/D Existing
Conditions and Proposed Changes). Also repair broken interior door
glass, repaint, cover floor with 1942 style vinyl tiles, and cover any
unused outlets and breaker panels with plexi-glass for safety. Add
exit signs and fire alarms as per current fire code.
