Architectural Feature: Piazza
 Date: 1914

The piazza of the wireless operations building faces the Shark River Inlet and extends 60-feet across most of the 82-foot front elevation.  It is in good structural condition.  The entrances stairs on both ends are damaged and the railings have been removed (Photo No. 161).  The missing front  railings were made of a brick pattern with a formed concrete top rail.  Trees have grown in breaks in stairs.

Proposed Work

During Phase III replace broken masonry stairs with ground level ramps.  Restore masonry railings and brickwork currently missing consulting historic photos.
