Architectural Feature: Exterior Masonry
 Date: 1914

The exterior masonry is structurally sound.  The area needing work is the soffet beneath the roof.  The wire mesh and angle iron supports have failed causing the stucco soffet covering to fall (Photo Nos. 161-164).  Other masonry repair will be needed where the collapsed cement block boiler room addition was attached to main building.  To secure the building from determined vandals, plywood was secured over all openings with nail guns.  The securing of plywood with nail guns will require repair to broken brick and mortar joints.

Proposed Work

During Phase I remove masonry debris from soffet stucco and remove remains of boiler room.  During Phase III repair damage to masonry from boiler room construction.  Replace wire mesh and cover with new cement stucco.  Repair damage from nail gun fastners.
