Architectural Feature: Exterior and Interior Cellar Stairs
 Date: 1914

The interior cellar stairs have collapsed into flooded cellar.  The cellar is below sea level.  An exterior entrance and stairs (Photo No. 162) have allowed water to seep into the cellar via cracks in the stairs.  The water has damaged all electrical and plumbing beyond repair.  Tree roots and debris fills the cellar.  The first floor has not collapsed due to the four-inch thick poured concrete, iron bar and wire reinforced floor construction.

Proposed Work

During Phase I pump out and repair broken concrete.  Retain professional services to repair stairway cracks, water-proof, replace interior stairs, cover outside stairs with Bilco doors and add a sump-pump.
