Architectural Feature: WWII Radio / Signal Jamming / Electronic Warfare
 Date: 1941

Also located in the east wing attic are four double screen cages used during WWII for radio countermeasures (electronic warfare) development and testing.  These interesting, double layer brass screens on wood frames stand alone structures, appear more like a garden screen shed than a test lab (Photo No. 34). They allowed radio engineers to test sensitive electronic equipment without interfering with others signals or being affected by background signals.
