During WWII, when radar development and radar countermeasure development was a scientific battle of wits between Axis and Allied engineers, all available space in Camp Evans was put to use and the Marconi Hotel attic was no exception. Located in the east wing attic are workbenches, in place, just as they were when the war emergency ended (Photo No. 33). An original safety sign made by an Embosograph machine remains.
