Architectural Feature: Linen Closets Conversion to Elevator
 Date: 1914

The original Marconi Hotel floor plan showed a large linen closet on the first floor and an identical closet directly above, on the second floor.  The former linen closets could be converted into an elevator space to assist persons and move equipment from floor to floor.

Proposed Work

During Phase III, engage an architect and elevator engineer to determine feasibility and estimate cost.  If possible, and when funds become available, add the interior elevator in excess space so as to not detract from the original appearance of Hotel.
