MANNING DIAGRAM FOR 1937 DEMONSTRATION
This diagram, from the 1937 report of the Signal Corps Laboratories, shows the coordination of radio detection apparatus, heat detector and searchlight. The word "pointer" in the diagram indicates the heat detector, which in that year was called a "thermal pointer."
