1937 SEARCHLIGHT AND SOUND LOCATOR SECTION
The standard equipment of a searchlight and sound locator section in 1937- A Coast Artillery detachment with equipment of this type was ordered to the Signal Corps laboratories in the spring of 1937 to assist in the radio detection demonstration. The laboratories saved time and money by taking off the listening horns and using the sound locator chassis as a directional radio antenna mount.
